LAB RESIDENCY
The Lab Residency is Physical Lab's biggest event, and it offers actors and performers the opportunity to dive deeper into the Lab methodology. Each year, an intimate group of performing artists from across the globe are offered the opportunity to train and perform on the island of Crete.
Over the extended period, ensemble members will experience a wider range of the Lab methodology as well as work on preparing scene work for a short-run performance.
The training is led by artistic director Yorgos Karamalegos as well as visiting practitioners whose work complements the Lab's methodology.

RESIDENCY 2025
We had two very successful residencies in the summer and autumn of 2024. We were able to welcome two distinct and talented groups to the island of Crete where performers of all calibers were able to dive deeper into their work and make new discoveries using the ethos of the Physical Lab work.
While our residencies for this year have come to an end, we encourage you to stay tuned for future updates regarding 2025 and beyond!
